ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING (AGM) Dear Bible Church Members, The Annual General Meeting (AGM) will be held in church on Sunday, 6 April 2025 at 1.00pm in the Peace Sanctuary. The Council strongly encourages all members* to attend the meeting. As we need a quorum of 253 members, we would appreciate it if all members could be punctual and be seated by 1.00pm. Lunch (at $6/person) will be provided at 12 noon. For catering purposes, please click here to register for lunch. The Notice of Meeting, together with all the AGM documents, will be emailed to all members by 23 March 2025. *Please note that only members who are at least 21 years old, who have been members for at least 1 year as at 6 April 2025 and whose names are on the church’s register as at 6 April 2025 are eligible to propose, second or vote at the AGM. MINISTRY REPORTS & ANNUAL MINISTRY DIALOGUE (AMD) 2025 The 2024 Ministry Reports are now available for download. You can access them here or via the church’s website (https://www.biblechurch.sg) under Member’s Area→English Resources & Publications (Membership Matters). A limited number of hard copies are also available outside the Peace Sanctuary for those who need them. Please note that there will be no Annual Ministry Dialogue this year. Instead, we will feature some ministries during our services in the course of the year. There will also be opportunities for meaningful dialogues and conversations between the church leaders and members (e.g. during community meals). Look out for more details. If you have any questions regarding the ministry reports, please reach out to any staff member, or email office@biblechurch.sg. We will be glad to respond accordingly. |

LENT 2025 Lent is the period of penitential preparation for Good Friday and Easter. It begins on Ash Wednesday and ends on Holy Saturday. This year, Lent is from 5 March to 19 April. We invite you to participate more fully in Lent through the following: ASH WEDNESDAY SERVICE Date: 5 March 2025 (Wednesday) Time: 8.00-9.30pm Venue: Peace Sanctuary (Level 3) Service Leaders: Ps Lim Wei-en & Asst Ps Anthony Chok Join us for this bilingual service (English and Mandarin) as we start the season of Lent with an extended time of reflection, prayer and confession. Congregants will also be invited to receive the imposition of ashes on their foreheads (or hands) as a sign of mortality and penitence. LENT PRAYER RETREAT Blessed Are Those... : A Lent Prayer Retreat Date: 5 April 2025 (Saturday) Time: 9am-4pm Venue: HortPark @ 33 Hyderabad Rd For more information and to register, please click here. Registration closes on 23 March 2025 (Sunday). DAILY DEVOTIONS “A Light for the Nations” is this year’s Lenten daily devotional guide published by The Bible Society of Singapore. It contains daily devotionals from 5 March-20 April 2025. Please visit the Bible Society of Singapore’s website, www.biblesociety.sg, for details on purchasing and downloading the e-devotional directly. RETREAT CENTRE The studio at 1A Jubilee Road may be used for personal retreats during Lent. Personal retreats involve setting aside time and space to rest in God’s love, dwell in His Word and be open to the Holy Spirit’s leading. If you are interested, please click here and state your preference for a 3D2N slot starting 5 March (Ash Wednesday) to 18 April (Good Friday). There will be a recommended love gift to help cover the cleaning and use of the studio. CONDOLENCES Our deepest condolences to Lim Eng Heng and his family on the home calling of his beloved mother, Mdm Sim Ngi Hoon, on 24 February 2025. She was the mother-in-law of Choo Hui Hwang. ASIAN MISSION FELLOWSHIP (AMF) Date: 10 March 2025 (Monday) Time: 8pm on Zoom This is a bi-monthly Zoom prayer meeting for EquipAsia master trainers and other workers serving overseas. The objective of the meeting is to encourage our partners through God’s Word and pray with them. In 2025, our devotions will be based on the book of Nehemiah. The dates of meetings for this year will be on 10 March, 12 May, 14 July, 8 September and 10 November. Due to security reasons, this meeting will only be opened to our regular worshippers. If you are going through a season of challenges and need emotional support, the Lay Counselling Ministry in the Bible Church would love to pray and journey with you through your struggles and difficulties. Trained counsellors are available to help with pastoral care and short-term counselling for children, youth and adults, including TBC members, regular attendees and those seeking Christian counsel.
