ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING (AGM) The Annual General Meeting (AGM) will be held physically in church on Sunday, 6 April 2025 at 1.00pm in the Peace Sanctuary. The following documents have been emailed to all members: AGM Notice & Agenda Minutes of the last AGM held on 7 April 2024 Church Secretary’s Report for 2024 Financial Statements Proxy Form (to be submitted only if you are unable to be present at the meeting)
The Council strongly encourages all members* to attend the AGM. Under our Church’s Constitution, a quorum of at least one third of the total membership as may appear in the Register of Members is required before the AGM can proceed. As we need a quorum of 253 members, we would appreciate it if all members could be punctual and be seated by 1.00pm. Lunch ($6/person) will be provided at 12 noon. For catering purposes, please click here to register for lunch by 31 March 2025. Like last year, Council is allowing the use of proxies (on an opt-in basis) for members to be represented at the meeting. Please submit this proxy form if you are unable to come physically for the AGM or if you are unsure that you are able to attend physically. If you submit your proxy form, but can make it for the AGM after all, your attendance at the meeting will void the proxy form that you have submitted. If you prefer a physical proxy form, you can approach any of the church staff after the service. If you have questions relating to the AGM documents, you may raise them via email to office@biblechurch.sg. We will either email the reply before the AGM or respond at the AGM itself. Please pray for the smooth running of the AGM! * Please note that only members who are at least 21 years old, who have been members for at least 1 year as at 6 April 2025 and whose names are on the church’s main register as at 6 April 2025 are eligible to propose, second or vote at the AGM. |

CHANGES TO HOLY COMMUNION WEF 5 APRIL 2025 From the weekend of 5 and 6 April 2025, we will be reverting to the pre-Covid practice of distributing the Holy Communion elements. We will pass the bread (individual wafers) on plates and the juice (in compostable cups) on trays row by row. A few pre-packaged elements will be included on the trays for those with health concerns. This reversion with sustainable elements will allow us more time for celebration of the Lord’s Supper and contemplation of the implications of the life, death, resurrection and return of Christ as part of our corporate worship to build spiritual formation and community identity. If you would like to volunteer to prepare the Holy Communion elements, please email office@biblechurch.sg. We will require at least 2 people to serve for each Holy Communion service. More teams allow for rotation. |

LENT 2025 Lent is the period of penitential preparation for Good Friday and Easter. It begins on Ash Wednesday and ends on Holy Saturday. This year, Lent is from 5 March to 19 April. DAILY DEVOTIONS “A Light for the Nations” is this year’s Lenten daily devotional guide published by The Bible Society of Singapore. It contains daily devotionals from 5 March-20 April 2025. RETREAT CENTRE The studio at 1A Jubilee Road may be used for personal retreats during Lent. Personal retreats involve setting aside time and space to rest in God’s love, dwell in His Word and be open to the Holy Spirit’s leading. If you are interested, please click here and state your preference for a 3D2N slot starting 5 March (Ash Wednesday) to 18 April (Good Friday). There will be a recommended love gift to help cover the cleaning and use of the studio.
