Matthew 4.23-25
23 Jesus went throughout Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, proclaiming the good news of the kingdom, and healing every disease and sickness among the people. 24 News about him spread all over Syria, and people brought to him all who were ill with various diseases, those suffering severe pain, the demon-possessed, those having seizures, and the paralyzed; and he healed them. 25 Large crowds from Galilee, the Decapolis, Jerusalem, Judea and the region across the Jordan followed him.
Personal Reflections Jesus started His ministry of teaching and preaching and healing. In this regard we too are called to do the same. No matter where we have been called to, we are called for this same ministry, albeit with differing methods and in differing intensity and with differing degree of success. The outcome that we seek is that people will follow not us, but Jesus.
Are you pointing people to Jesus through the work that you are doing? How are you teaching, proclaiming, sharing, loving, caring and praying for healing as part of your calling as Jesus’ disciples so that others may also follow Him?
